Wow, it's already been six months since my last post! Lots of firsts for Laney...first Christmas, Easter, and BIRTHDAY on June 4th!! First words, teeth, steps, snow, and swimming pool experiences. The year has gone by very quick and we cannot believe how well she is toddling around the house. She is pretty proud of herself as well! For her first birthday, we had a swimming party at her Nana and Pawpaw’s and she had a blast! She LOVES the water and loves putting her face in it! Her favorite thing to say is 'pat-pat' while patting herself on the chest. That's how we taught both girls to be gentle while petting the dogs. She loves to climb on everything, which is giving her mother more grey hairs than she cares to admit. She is a very good, happy baby...toddler. *sigh*
Emma is FINALLY able to go swimming, which she has asked to do every day since the beginning of March. She has given up the floaties and is doing great! She will be 5 in September and that seems impossible to me. She will be starting Pre-K at the beginning of September, and I'm sure it will be hard on both of us...me, for probably the entire year, and her, for about 10 minutes! She continues to be a very sweet, attentive, and proud big sister. Every morning they hug and kiss as if it has been days since they have seen each other. It's so sweet!
Josh and I just had our 8-year wedding anniversary on the 15th. We are so very blessed and thankful for our little family.
Enjoy the recent pics and videos of the girls!! One video is a short clip of Laney walking, one is of Emma swimming without her floaties (and nearly colliding with her cousin, Maile), and the other is the two of them dancing to music from the Barbie cruise ship. Love to all!
